Abstract · The problem of euthanasia has been debated for long years in Italy. The debate becomes heated every time a personal tragedy is revealed, yet, no concrete measures have been taken so far to settle it. Fabiano Antoniani’s death at the beginning of February 2017, and his preceding attempts to realise his personal decision represent another milestone in the dilemma. Political and ecclesiastic commitments have been published which may perhaps help legally resolve the euthanasia-related issues.
