The etiquette of mourning

How the etiquette of mourning and the vision of death changed during the 19th and 20th centuries

Abstract · During the 1800s and 1900s not only society, science and technology developed dramatically but also the attitude of people toward death and in line with this mourning etiquette helping to process death. The study presents these changes through examples of etiquette books from those days, from the 1880s until now.
